Eric and I tied the knot on March 16, 2008. It was a beautiful day and everything worked out just fine. A few things went a little wrong but nothing that anyone else but me noticed and that's how it usually goes. Our honeymoon was fun but short. We loved our visit to the spa while staying at our hotel and we even had a great visit to Sea World. We got our annual passes and just had to pay for the day so that was cool. We'll be going back now.

Life has not slowed down as I thought since the wedding. Bailey had his second knee surgery this week and is doing great. Eric is in a wedding next week so that blows that weekend away. Then Eric's sister graduates at the end of the month so we'll have to drive out there and the day after that is the Bon Jovi concert in Tampa that we'll be going to. In May I am in a wedding and I also have to attend classes for work again. Plus my renter is moving out so we'll have to go get that house in order and get it rented again. Plus we have school, work and our housework that needs to be done. So much to do and so little time!!! But I guess that's life. I'm hoping that by June things slow down and we can take a vacation that's longer than 2 days.

I know I have't blogged for a while but it's just been way to busy and it will probably be that way for a while. It really sucks but I hope that one day I have more time to keep this thing updated. I hope that everyone is doing well. Maybe when I get the wedding pictures I will post some on here.

That is my life right now. Every day is the same and it's starting to suck. I hate the gym, it's a waste of my time. We've been working out for a good month and a half and I'm not noticing any difference in my weight or in how my clothes fit. This week we're trying a jump start diet. It's really just supposed to jump start your metabolism. We'll see how that goes. Only 20 something days until the wedding. We pretty much have everything figured out. At this point it's just small details.

Eric is almost finished working on the well cover and the book case upstairs. (3 months later). But it'll get done before the rehearsal dinner I hope. In about 2 weeks we'll be doing some yard work to make the outside of the house look as fabulous as the inside.

We did buy a new TV recentley. It's awesome. A 46 inch Samsung LCD. I can now see the TV across the room without my glasses. Yay!!!

I hope that everyone is doing well. I just can't wait for this wedding to be over so I can breath. We have a nice little 2 day honeymoon planned at a nice hotel. We've made a spa date too. We'll take a longer honeymoon/vacation later on.

So as of today I have 40 days until my wedding. Crazy!!! But I do have almost everything done. Just have some small details left really so I'm happy about that. School is going fine, I have 2 tests this week so that sucks. I'm not too crazy about this semester. My classes are boring and I'm just ready for it to be over. I think I'm just over school but I can't stop now, I'm almost done.

Eric and I have been sooooooo busy with work, school, the wedding and the house. We are trying to get all of our little things around the house done before the wedding since we are having the rehearsal dinner at our house. I want everything to be done so that everything looks nice.

That's about all that is going on. I really don't have much of an exciting life right now. I hope that everyone else's life is more interesting than mine. I will try to get on here more but it's been nuts.

that the weeks pass so slow and the weekend's fly??? LOL. That is the story of my life. It's not that I hatemy job or anything but I enjoy my weekends at home so much more. But because of school, the wedding and just keeping up with the chores, my weekends have turned into catch up time from the week. I so cannot wait until I'm done with school. Hopefully this December I am done.

Today I had that special "woman's exam" again. Last year I had a test come back abnormal and since then it has been one visit to that doctor after another. I had a biopsy, the LEEP Procedure and today was my first Pap after the procedure. I only hope that this one doesn't come back abnormal too. I am way over this stuff. So I'll find out in a couple weeks I guess.

Tonight my class doesn't start till 7 so I have time to go home and  eat and I also need to watch one of my online lectures from my other class. These online classes aren't hard work but they are alot of work. I just need to stay on top of it.

We ordered the flowers for the wedding on Saturday. $426 was the total and I about died. I just have that kind of taste. It a certain aspect that is cheap for wedding flowers but I'm a cheapo and it bugs me to spend that much on flowers. That price includes my bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, Eric's boutoniere (sp), and 3 corsages. I picked Calla Lilies, which of course are expensive. But they look classy and sophisticated.

I think I am going to just mail the rest of the invitations this week even though it's a bit early. I mailed them to all of Eric's family in Michigan because they kept calling and asking all these questions. I had hoped that they would stop once we got them the information on hotels, directions, etc but no. They keep turning this wedding into something bigger than what it is. I know that they are expecting tradition but we're not doing that. Traditions are expensive and we're trying to keep costs down.

Oh well. Just one of life little stressors. I hope that everyone had a great weekend.

I've thought about starting a new blog here and there but I really don't have time for this one right now. At least not the time I would want to devote to it. I think that when I am done with school I might create a new one. So for now I will watch all my friends leave. I guess it will benefit me because they can figure out all the flaws in other blogs. LOL.

So I'm getting ready to get busy at work and I start class tonight. It sucks that I have school on Monday's. But then I don't have an actual class for the rest of the week. My other two classes are online. I've never taken an online class so this will be a new experience for me. I hope it woks well because I'm all about staying home. This semester I am taking:

1) Marketing
2) Introduction to International Business
3) Administration of Public Policy

Sounds super boring doesn't it. LOL. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Hopefully I can graduate this December. I'm looking forward to having a life again.

So is it just me or did last year fly by??? Wow. Last year was a big year for me all around. There were a few trials and tribulations but I got through them. I also got through a whole year of school. (Just one more left). I switched departments and learned a new job and I've been attending classes for work.

In 2008 I got promoted and so now I will be learning more things at work. I have 2 more classes to attend for work and I have 3 semesters left in college. (if they offer everything I need when I want to take it). Eric and I are getting married and the new house is coming together.

I have many great friends, both near me and over the internet. I feel very blessed and I know that things will only get better.

Today I'm back at work after 11 days off and it's not that bad. I did enjoy being home although I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but I did get our office organized upstairs and the guest room is all neat and tidy. It's getting there. I also got some curtains hung.

All in all, life is good. Now I have to start working out. I have to look good for my wedding so tonight starts exercise. (YUCK). I will be going to Jazzercise on Wednesdays with a lady from work. I have a rowing machine at home that I need to use and plus I think Eric and I are going to join a gym. There is one by our house that is $10 a month. That works for me.

I also want to tan before the wedding and whiten my teeth. I know it sounds really superficial of me but I want to look good. White is not the best color on me and since I work I don't get outside much so I have to tan so I look decent and not dead in the white. You'd think living in Florida that I would have an awesome tan but no, I don't get out much.

Anyhow I better work now. Hope everyone had a Happy New Year!!!

Well last week was hell for me. I had to go to classes for work all week from 8-5 and then I had a test on everything I learned on Friday morning. On top of all that new learning I had a final on Tuesday night and Thursday night. Then I got sick at the end of the week and I was sick all weekend. But I made it through it and now I get a month off from school. Yay!!! Right around Christmas I get 11 days off of work too. I'm super excited. I really need it because next year is going to be difficult for me I think. In the spring I'm taking 3 classes and then hopefully if they offer everything I need during summer I'll be taking 4 classes and then that leaves me with 2 classes during the fall semester and then I graduate with my bachelors. So keep your fingers crossed. Plus I am getting more responsibility at work so I will be learning more things are work too. On top of I have two more week long classes to take for work. One in May and one in August.

Then there is the wedding that we're planning. We've picked March 16th as our wedding date. It's very soon but it just works into our schedule. So now I have to bust butt to get that done. I am just ready to be married. I really don't care for planning weddings at all. But I will make it through that too. Just need to take things one day at a time. It's all I can do.

But at least I have a nice vacation coming and I can get some things done that I haven't had a chance to do with school and all that. Hope that everyone is doing well.

Last Friday ( I know I should have posted it earlier) after work, Eric proposed to me in the kitchen of our home. It was simple and sweet. My ring is gorgeous and right now we're planning the wedding. We're probably going to get married in March. I know that seems soon but it works out best for us between school and work and all that. So right now we're scrambling to find a place to have it and then after that is should be smooth sailing. We're trying to be as simple as it as we can but already our guest list is at 100. And that is after taking some people off already. But we think we're going to get a deal at a golf course that a friend manages.

So I will post more as things progress but I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm engaged.

Wow, I can't believe that it's November already. Almost time for Turkey Day and that means Christmas is next. I have already bought a few things for Christmas. I'm trying to be good about it and get things done early. This week has been surprisingly relaxed. I had a test on Tuesday but it took me all of 15 minutes to answer 50 questions. I didn't really study that much for it and I got an 84 which works for me. Then Thursday night's class was cancelled which is even better. So tonight I get to go home and cook instead of going to class. I got to cook Tuesday after my test too. I really do miss being home. It's crazy. I can't wait for this month off. I sooooo need it. I only wish it included a month off of work too. LOL.

It's starting to cool of here a bit but probably not as much as other places. We've gotten into the high 70's which is cool enough for me. I can't stand cold weather. But it's coming and there is nothing I can do about it.

This weekend we're going to St. Augustine to see Eric's sister's Senior night. A bunch of their family is coming from Michigan and will all be there. We are staying Friday night and coming back Saturday after lunch. It's only about an hour and a half away from us. For those of you that ever venture to Florida, St. Augustine is a beautiful city. Great place to visit.

That's about all that's going on here. Nothing too special. Just getting into the home stretch of this semester and then I have to attend classes for work for a week. Because of these classes for work I have to take my exams early. Ugh. Oh well. I hope that everyone had a safe and fun halloween.

Lately I have been so disgusted with our world. I cannot believe how sick people can be and the things they are into. Bike week just passed here in Florida and some of the stories of things that go on there just leave me with my mouth hanging open. My mind scrambles: "Can people really be like this?" "What are they thinking?". I mean just the thought of the diseases you can get from coming into contact with people let alone any sort of sexual contact, yuck.

It seems like everywhere I turn I am getting bombarded with pornographic material. I just can't handle it. It's everwhere. If I go look for a comment to leave on a friends myspace page I also have to go though tons of comments featuring half naked women some of them doing or posing questionably. It then pops into my mind that when my boyfriend looks for a comment that he has to sift through the same things. Sometimes on Comedy Central while on commercial I have to sit and watch "Girls gone wild" and other scenes with basically naked chicks and lesbian action. Yes they block out the more intimate parts of the body but when sitting next to my boyfriend it's the last thing I want to see or want him to see. It seems like almost every website you go to has some sort of provocative chick picture to get you to buy or join. I'm just so sick of it. Yes, alot of people would say it's because I'm insecure and I'll be the first to tell you that it's the truth. I feel so small when I think of myself being compared to those women. It doesn't matter I know that they are airbrushed and plastic. It doesn't matter that all the "hot" stars have dieticians and personal trainers.Men think of these fake women when they think of their fantasy and that's not what I am.  It still makes me feel like crap. I cannot stand the thought of my man looking at porn. He doesn't and I trust him. He knows just how I feel about it and he knows that I would be very hurt if he did. Some of you don't mind if your man, woman, whoever, looks at porn but I think it's wrong. There are other people that feel just like me. I feel like it's a form of cheating. You are looking at someone intimately ( and fantacizing) and that is something that you should only do with your SO. I could go on and on about pornography but I won't waste my breath.

Another thing I can't stand is the news. Why do they always have to show the bad stuff? Don't you think that some of these people do the things they do because they get their "15" minutes of fame? Maybe if we talked about more good things then people would start doing more of them. I'm disgusted by some of the crimes people commit. I admit that I like to watch CSI, and Criminal minds but the thought that they probably got those case ideas from real life disgusts me. At least the shows I watch catch the bad guys.

I hear things come out of my brother and sister that I never thought I would. I see kids doing stuff I would have never imagined. I cannot believe how low the world has gotten and it disheartens me. Do I want to bring children into this world? I really do deep inside but it scares me to. I cannot imagine the things they will have to deal with or the things I will have to deal with. It bothers me to know that I have no control really and to a control freak that's a horrible feeling. I guess this is an internal struggle that I will have to deal with. Can I learn to ignore it? Will I just become numb to it all? I hope not. But I hope that it's something I can learn to deal with maybe in time. Because if not I might have to be put into a mental institution.
